Kirk Dewease - Crew Chief

Kirk Dewease got his start in racing at Hagerstown Speedway in the stock car division. He than moved into the micro sprint arena with his brother Lance Dewease and eventually progressed to the 410 sprint car scene. Kirk has worked for such notable drivers as Lance, Jac Haudenschild, Jeff Swindell, Paul McMahan, Gary Brazier, Donny Schatz, Danny Jones, Brook Wiebley, Mike Erdley, Chris Eash, Josh Wells. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and we look forward to having him with us this year.

Chet McCormick Jr.

Chet became involved with racing in 1991 as a crewmember on an endoro car. He decided he wanted to drive and began his driving career at the end of 1992. He raced eight endoro races in 1993 and in 1994 moved to the street stock class. He continued racing street stocks until in 2001 he moved to the thunder car division at Lincoln Speedway. Chet has 17 street stock wins and 1 thunder car win to his credit. He also received “Rookie of the Year” in the thunder car division.

Chet met Steve through racing thunder cars against each other at Lincoln. Half way through the season in 2004 Chet approached Steve about helping on the 358 team since he wasn’t going to be racing thunder cars in 2005. Chet started helping and learning as much as he could on Friday nights the end of 2004. In 2005 Chet remained with the team helping them accomplish their goal to win the championship at Trailways. 2006 Chet stuck with the team through a learning year in the 410 division. For 2007 Chet is hired full time by Donny Owens, (Catoctin Development )this will allow for a lot more time to be spent on the car and at the race track.

Chet resides in New Oxford, PA he is married and has 1 daughter.

Andrew McCormick

Andrew is Chet’s brother and became involved in racing by helping Chet on his thunder car. Andrew has a degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics from York Technical Institute.

Andrew also got to know Steve from pitting next to him at Lincoln during the thunder car years. He was glad to become part of the team when Steve asked and the rest is history. For 2007 Andrew is also hired full time by Donny and is looking forward to an exciting year working on the car and being at both tracks (Lincoln & Williamsgrove) every week.

Andrew resides in McSherrystown, PA is 26 years old and single.

Chet McCormick Sr.

Mr. McCormick has been involved in racing since his father raced sprint cars at Port Royal Speedway in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. He has also been part of Chet Jr’s crew through out the years and now has come along with his sons to be part of the #30C team. He is also the driver of the hauler every week.

Chet Sr. resides in McSherrystown, PA is married and has 4 children.
